Well, Seelie had a odd night Saturday night. He went to bed at like 8:30 and woke up at 12:30, but then he slept for 5 hours. Then he slept another 1.5 hours before getting up for the day.
Then since it was Sunday we had lunch at my grandma's. My youngest sister, Michelle, had come to town for the weekend. This was her first time seeing Seelie since he was in the hospital. Unfortunately, she said that she's not been feeling the best and is worried that she is getting a cold, so she did not hold him. Aunt Vivian got to feed Seelie his bottle. He took about 2 ounces with no problem.
After lunch Michelle, Seelie and I went over to my other sister, Leila's, house. Tony went home to clean up from having his friends over Saturday (his choice). Leila & her roommate have Rock Band for the Wii, so we played some. I mostly sang because I could do that while holding and feeding Seelie. Michelle brought her sewing machine and finished up 4 more diapers for me. She is still working on 9 more so that we will have 29 total. That will help so that we don't have to do laundry quite as often. The new ones are even cuter because she used a flannel on the inside w/ a print of babies in diapers on it :-)
We stayed over there and goofed off all afternoon. Seelie did really well. He seemed to want to nap some but couldn't really with all the excitement. He was not fussy though. He just chilled and took it all in.
We came home around 5pm. He was happy to get some time on his playmat. He ate twice w/ some play time in between and then he was out for the night. He slept from 8pm until 3:15am, then back to sleep until 7:10. He ate and then seemed to want to sleep, but when I put him down he woke up. He ate again at 9 and I've been holding him since because he is asleep on my chest. He's so cuddly!
Not sure what we'll do today. Tony has been working on some of our house organization projects before he has to go back to work. I do my best to help as much as Seelie will let me. Our current project is arranging our 5 bookshelves because we just put the books on them anywhere when we moved in. It is a big project though. Hopefully we can finish that today.
Well, that's my update for now. Gonna try to do more of these one handed updates :-)

Hi Amber! Good to hear how its going! Sounds like you are getting the hang of it. I think its natural to stress a bit about going out and about with the baby at first. The more you try it the easier it will be though, even if its just for a little walk or over to grandmas house.
ReplyDeleteDo you feed him bottles yourself at all? He might have figured out bottles mean no mom and it might bother him. I had to try several different kinds before I found the type my son would take.
When you go back to work are you starting out part time or are you jumping straight into full time again?
It sounds like he is sleeping really well though, you can't complain about that! How much does he weigh now?
(post some pics when you get a chance)
